survives the Winter.

MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long,

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference
and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm
and well fed while others are cold and starving.
CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of
the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in
his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
Nancy Pelosi & Barack Obama exclaim in an interview with Larry
King that the ant has taken advantage of the grasshopper, and
that half of the ant's food should be given to the grasshopper.
MSNBC blames the plight of the grasshopper on George Bush and
all Republicans everywhere.
Fox News says the grasshopper got what he deserved.
The grasshopper is given half of the ant's food and the ant
is forced to build the grasshopper a shelter.
The grasshopper soon demands more food and warm clothing as well.
The grasshopper's shelter falls into disrepair due to neglect and
he demands the shelter be fixed. The ant is forced to do so.
HBO does a documentary on the grasshopper's shabby conditions,
and Paramount releases a movie called "Pesticide" starring
Tim Robbins.
The Grammy award for best song is awarded to "America's Shame",
a song about the injustice done to grasshoppers. The award
is presented by Leonardo DiCaprio, on a show hosted by Ellen
Degeneres and Rachel Maddow.
The grasshopper fathers 8 children with 8 different females and
the ant is forced to give more food to the grasshopper for
the children.
Eventually the grasshopper leaves. The ant is forced to
support the grasshopper's children, and the abandoned shelter
is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once
peaceful neighborhood.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2008!!
But now this man has beaten a white woman in the public eye. He has had the opportunity to present indepth ideas for the "hope" and "change" he promised... and they're crap! This country doesn't need higher taxes. We don't need increased spending on wasteful programs like Socialized Healthcare that is CRIPPLING other nations that decided to 'give it a whack.'
But, there is this part of me (the media says) that is just opposed to this man because I am a racist. I'm not aware of being a racist. And I'd vote for a person of color (is that what black people call themselves? Or, should I follow Jesse Jacksons example and just say "n***r"?) if they agreed with MY idea of what government should be doing.
I want to believe in "Hope" and "Change." I want those to be motivated by things that will benefit the nation, not take a difficult situation and make it much worse.
I was duped by this Obama guy, but there isn't anyone out there that I would feel comfortable voting for.
What are us tofu and granola eating, sandal wearing, long-(gray)haired burned-out hippie folk going to do when our White Devil (not the Judeo-Christian 'devil' because we oppose all western religions) is finally out of office?
